Essex ) as been a regular visitor to Thailand for over a decade, in the early days Chris traveled with Kru Tony Moore to the original Buddhai Swan in Bangkok and to the Sityodthong Camp in Pattaya after finding his own feet Chris began to travel with his team to train with the renowned Muay Thai Master Arjarn Yodthong at the Sityodthong camp. 2 weeks ago (1/6/11) Kru Chris or should I say "Arjarn" Chris was training at the Sityodthong Camp when Arjarn Yodthong awarded Kru Chris with a Gold Mongkol and was given the Camp name of Mungkorn dam Sityodthong, England. Here at the B.T.B.C. we all feel very proud of kru (Arjarn) Chris and his achievement.

Contender Asia pits the best Muay Thai warriors in the world against each other with full rule fights and adventurous challenges. 16 men from 12 countries, the winner taking home a large cash prize and the right to be named "The contender Asia Champion". Last year's event featured the UK's David Pacquette as well as Muay Thai legends: Naurapol and Yodsanklai Fairtex and well known Australian John Wayne Parr (JWP). The UK contender Eliminator is to find the best that the UK has to offer to represent out country with skill and pride and to go on to Singapore to meet with the remaining 15 contestants from around the world.

The event will be a super 8 format, with 8 fighters battling it out in a single elimination tournament with the winner representing the UK on season Two of The Contender Asia!!!
